Somms Under Fire™ – A Wine & Food Pairing Competition

If you’re a wine and food lover, you know that the Perfect Pairing can truly make or break a meal. No matter which comes first, the food or the libation, knowing the basics of Pairing is a critical component of getting the most out of a culinary experience. From the creators of Chefs Under Fire™, Keeper Collection is pleased to announce Sommelier Scott Ota of The Driskill Hotel as the 2013 Somms Under Fire Champion.  Not only did Somms Under Fire™ educate our community on the key elements of the Perfect Pairing, 100% of the proceeds benefitted The Texas Sommelier Conference, thanks to the co-host The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas.   As the Winner of 2013 Somms Under Fire, Scott Ota won a Grand Prize of a one-week Wine Internship in Burgundy, France with author, Master of Wine, and Burgundy expert, Jasper Morris, MW, as well as a $1000 stipend for his travels for the Burgundy Internship!
