Somms Under Fire™ – A Food & Wine Pairing Competition

If you are a food and wine lover, you know that the Perfect Pairing can truly make or break a meal. No matter which comes first, the food or the libation, knowing the basics of Pairing is a critical component of getting the most out of a culinary experience. From the creators of Chefs Under Fire™, Keeper Collection is excited to bring this one-night only event to the food and wine community on May 1, 2011 in Austin, TX at W Austin and featuring small bites prepared by TRACE. Not only will Somms Under Fire™ educate our community on the key elements of the Perfect Pairing, it will challenge 3 Top Sommeliers to prove their Perfect Pairings under pressure from an audience and a Celebrity Food & Wine Industry Judges Panel. These Somms will be competing to be named Winner of Somms Under Fire and a Grand Prize of one week accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in San Francisco, CA and a one week Wine Internship in Burgundy, France with author, Master of Wine, and Burgundy expert, Jasper Morris!
